The reference book "XCP – The Standard Protocol for ECU Development" describes the fundamentals and the application areas of the XCP measurement and calibration protocol. The authors describe:
In the third, expanded edition, the features of version 1.3 of the XCP-standard are taken into account. Focus is on the topics of time correlation and synchronization.
Printed, PDF & E-Book
The printed version has 128 pages with 168x238 mm page format and can be ordered free-of-charge. You can also get the book in three digital versions for download as a PDF file, EPUB or MOBI.
The EPUB format is specially designed for mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones and it requires special software for viewing the e-book (see list of readers in Wikipedia). The text is dynamically adapted to the screen size of the reader's specific device.
MOBI is a e-book file for PDAs, smartphones and e-book devices like the Kindle.
The "Universal Measurement and Calibration Protocol" (XCP), like the CCP, comes from the "Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems" (ASAM) and was standardized in 2003. Vector Informatik played an important role in this release.
As a two-layer protocol, XCP systematically separates protocol and transport layer from one another and uses a single-master/multi-slave concept. XCP is able to use the same protocol layer on the basis of different transport layers. The "X" in XCP stands for the variable and interchangeable transport layer. Thus, it is a universal measurement and calibration protocol that functions independent of the used network type.
With full XCP support, Vector offers you the right solution at every point of the development process. Complete your XCP projects quickly and reliably – sophisticated and high-performance development tools, communication modules for basic software, ECU interfaces, basics seminars and individual services support you during the process!
