With Service Pack 3, the following changes become effective:

General

  • A new Shell Extension displays additional information of logging files (MDF, BLF, ASC) in Windows Explorer
  • The files names for new logging branches in the measurement setup are predefined with the filed code {LoggingBlock}.
  • Graphics Window
    • Measurement and Difference Cursor can now be activated through a button in the toolbar directly
    • You can set the red Difference Cursor to any location using Ctrl+mouse click
    • The test function testReportAddWindowCapture creates a screenshot in x/y mode of the whole time interval
    • Symbolic value descriptions are imported from an MDF file

  • Test Design & Implementation:
    • Support of AUTOSAR 4.2 for CAN and Ethernet (PDU Concept)
    • Support of tester interactions accompanied with a picture in .NET
    • New tester interaction that terminates automatically as soon as a dedicated state has been accomplished
  • Test Execution:
    • New possibility to terminate a test run – can be configured as stop criteria within the test configuration dialog
    • Search within all open files is now possible within the debugger window
    • Jenkins integration example provides possibility to execute test units
    • First start of very big test modules accelerated also for earlier VN89xx/VT60xx

  • Analysis & Reporting:
    • New filtering possibility of simple wait conditions within test trace window

VT System

  • VT2710 - Serial Interface Module
    • Simulation and analysis of PSI5 and SENT sensors or ECUs with the VT2710 (Serial Interface Module) and the new CANoe option .Sensor
    • Support of the asynchronous and the synchronous PSI5 operation mode
    • Operation of up to four PSI5/SENT channels on one VT2710.
      Therefore, one PSI5/SENT piggy (separate article, new) is required per channel
    • Functions of the PSI5/SENTpiggy:
      • Sensor supply with up to 25V / 200mA. Voltage and current are freely configurable
      • Generation of PSI5 synchronisation pulses with freely adjustable voltage, slope und hold time
      • Generation of current modulated signals with free setting of low and high current levels and data rates up to 200kBit/s
      • Creation of shortcuts on PSI5 or SENT channels
      • Simulation of various resistive or capacitive loads for the complete bus channel or single components
    • The module VT2710 is prepared for the following functions which are successively activated with the following CANoe releases:
      • Simulation of sensors and ECUs with SPI-, UART (incl. RS232, RS422, RS485)- or I2C interface on two channels each
      • Communication with external devices (e.g. active probes) via LVDS on two channels and power supply up to 15V / 500mA per channel
      • Implementation of user-specific sensor protocols with a programmable FPGA

Option .CAN

  • GMLAN support in Interactive Generator Block CAN
  • ISO CAN FD now used as default setting for CAN FD

Option .LIN

  • LIN LDF Explorer:
    • Import and Export of NCF files
    • Integrated Text-Editor with syntax highlighting for NCF files

Option .FlexRay

  • Offline Mode: Evaluation of the segment flag in a BLF file during analysis without a database
  • Optimized start behavior for small replay files

Option AMD/XCP

  • New measurement method “Cyclic”. This method selects a DAQ event together with a factor (pre scaler) that matches the desired cycle time best
  • DAQ measurement of predefined DAQ lists is available now. These lists are typically used in data acquisition hardware modules
  • New status bar of the XCP/CCP window displays the number of configured and automatically read parameters
  • Measurement groups can now be duplicated
  • XCP system variables can now be set to generate an event only for value changes. This increases the throughput through CANoe significantly. This setting is considered for the performance optimization.
  • The new CAPL function xcpSendRaw allows sending of any XCP command. The response can be evaluated as well.
  • The COM object McECU provides access to all new device settings
  • A DAQ timeout is not reported anymore when the ECU sends a DAQ frame after the DAQ stop command
  • Special characters can now be used for the path to seed&kex dlls
  • Maps and Curves are now displayed correctly when using the extended data types

Option .Ethernet

  • Support revised Ethernet interface hardware VN5610A.
  • Support new Ethernet interface VN5640.
  • Basic support for GBit Ethernet Phy other than 1000BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T.
  • Support AUTOSAR UDP NM for Ethernet nodes
  • Simulation Setup Wizard now supports AUTOSAR ARXML files with Ethernet cluster
  • Fix an issue that may disconnects the VN5610 Ethernet interface from CANoe/CANalyzer when changing the link status in Bypass mode
  • .NET API
    • Fix issue with VLAN ID set to 0 in constructor.
    • Fix issue with Ethernet Interface’s Packet Generator.
    • Method GetLinkStatus() returns correct link status in simulation mode.
  • CAPL
    • Fix issue when accessing Ethernet payload by means of an array index
    • Function Eth<x>.status returns correct link status in simulation mode.

  • Map Window: Extended zoom level for online map data for Open Street Map® (OSM)
  • Within Test Units (vTESTstudio V2.1 SP3), it is now possible to use WLAN application channels.
  • Car2x Network Explorer:
    • Additional attributes for Security Header according to ETSI TS 103 097 v1.2.1
    • Tooltips for attribute names
  • Car2x Interaction Layer: The new function C2xSecPacketGetSignerHashedId8() delivers the HashedId8 digest of the certificate which was used to sign the corresponding packet.
  • Sample Configurations: New Basic Configuration for SAE J2735 2016-01
  • Resolved Issues:
    • Trace Window - Detail view: Display of optional elements in the Security Header (according to ETSI TS 103 097) corrected
    • Car2x Network Explorer: When the window is closed after modification of attribute values, a dialog asks for saving.
    • Car2x Certificate Manager/ Car2x Certificate Explorer: In case of export of certificates according to IEEE 1609.2, the HashedId8 that is written into the export file has been corrected.
    • Car2x Interaction Layer:
