J1939 Workshop

This workshop provides you with a comprehensive basic knowledge of the CAN and J1939 protocol. You will learn the fundamentals of the tool CANalyzer in CAN and J1939 networks. The first module will focus on the fundamentals of the CAN protocol and the functionality and practical use of CANalyzer as measurement, analysis and testing tool.

In the second module you will learn about the correct usage of the SAE-J1939 documents, protocol-specific expressions and properties and the general philosophy of CAN based layer-7-protocols. By means of practical examples you get to know how to use the analysis and simulation tool CANalyzer in J1939 based networks. Main aspects are the simulation of ECUs and testing conformity to the standard. The emphasis is on introducing and utilizing expanded functions of CANalyzer.J1939 (e.g. J1939 Scanner, CAPL Generator, Node Filter, etc).
