To ensure that distributed applications in motor vehicles are able to exchange data smoothly, it is advisable to use standardized software components in all ECUs. The software components contained in CANbedded may be used in any combinations to optimally support a wide variety of ECUs. The precise range of functions is prescribed by the OEMs and is often based on the ISO, OSEK or ASAM standards.
The CAN driver included in CANbedded is available for a large number of different hardware platforms – from 8-bit to 64-bit controllers. This gives you a communication stack that is specially optimized for your hardware.
You can use the GENy tool and a DBC file to configure the software, adapting it to the requirements of your application.
Making software reusable with uniform interfaces
The use of uniform interfaces lets you quickly port the ECU software to another hardware platform or another OEM. This reduces development and test costs.
